Standard Onboarding

With our Standard Onboarding launch approach, we train you how to build out your new commercebuild solution. This model is ideal for clients who have significant resources available to implement an eCommerce solution.

Stage 1: Plan

Step one is the Planning meeting. This is where you meet with the commercebuild team who will be tasked with bringing your business to the digital world. The commercebuild team will review with you and your team the project goals and deliverables, and understand what success looks like for you. From this meeting a detailed timeline and delivery schedule for your commercebuild project will be developed.

Stage 2: Connect

The next stage in the Onboarding Process is establishing the integration between your Sage ERP platform and commercebuild. The commercebuild team will work with individuals on your team who are familiar with your Sage platform and your server, security, and network environment. Once the commercebuild software client has been successfully configured, we will test the bi-directional integration with Sage. Test orders are then processed from commercebuild to validate the successful submission of a web order into your Sage system.

Stage 3: Build

The Build Stage is when most of the work that goes into making the commercebuild platform operational is performed. One of the keys to success is to ensure that you – or members of your team – are well trained and experienced on how to manage your commercebuild solution once live. This stage involves the commercebuild team working in a collaborative fashion with you and your team to facilitate cross-training and a thorough understanding of how to manage all relevant aspects of your commercebuild solution.

Stage 4: Test

Testing of your commercebuild solution occurs throughout the project, but as the site nears the go-live date, testing will intensify with the goal of verifying all aspects of site functionality, as well as browser and device compatibility. For your commercebuild solution to move to the final stage, you and your team will complete user acceptance testing. This ensures the solution is operating to the level of expectation for all areas of your business set out in the initial Planning Stage.

Stage 5: Launch

Before your commercebuild solution moves to production, it may be necessary for you to carry out some final preparation tasks. This may include changes to your site URL, implementation of 301 redirects, enabling the ability for search engine robots to trawl the site, and emailing users with details about your new eCommerce solution. Once completed, you will be able give the go-ahead and make your new commercebuild solution a reality.
